Used to really appreciate this church with their food pantry..it has had a pantry quite worthwhile every 1st, 3rd and occasionally 5th Saturday of each month. However the past couple months have noticed a somewhat hateful undercurrent; not sure if there are problems going on within the church or what? but recently my wife, grandson and I went as usual to this pantry. Now previously in fact for over three years we have been allowed a double order when getting our food from this pantry. An order consists of usually a bag of assorted food and 2-3 loaves of bread or buns of various descriptions; previously as i mention some three plus years ago the pastor of the church approved this because we usually have anywhere from 3-5 mouths to feed in our home, so it has been no big deal before. However on this particular Saturday we were informed "double dipping" wasn't allowed and if we were all together then we only get one bag and the bread! When i mentioned to the lady in charge a rather obnoxious and hateful black lady that we had gotten the two bags and double bread for over three years she informed me and my spouse that wasn't allowed and wouldn't be tolerated! Funny its been not only tolerated but encouraged by the pastor and some of the pantry workers..but no more i suppose!! anyway if they changed the rules they should have either posted it or bothered to inform folks of this change, rather than just hatefully spring it on people. The lady who does the sign ups and kind of runs things needs replaced, she has no business working with folks in any capacity with her negative attitude. Just thought i would finally say i was so disappointed by the change as well as well as their poor attitudes i and my family wont go there for pantry foods ever again!
